Business Safeguard Program Atlantic Technology Group offers a "Best in Class" Replacement Program for your business’s wireless devices. We call this service our “Safeguard Program”. ATG’s Safeguard Program allows for overnight device replacements regardless of whether the device was Lost, Stolen or Broken. EligibilityYou need a minimum of 10 devices in order to participate in ATG’s Safeguard program. (if you do not have 10 devices you can participate in our consumer offering). Eligible devices can either be new devices or existing devices that are in good working order. Unlike many of the competitive offerings you are not restricted to enrolling your device during the first 30 days. The ProgramBecause your PDA users are not stationary, a specialized support program is necessary to minimize their downtime and productivity loss. ATG’s Safeguard service is delivered through a centralized service center located within our Distribution Center. ATG’s Safeguard Program provides the option to have a replacement device overnighted for any covered device regardless of the reason that caused the device to be inoperable. Our program has been designed for business users and was built with the intention of being business friendly. Program DetailsCovered Devices include most popular PDAs and Smart Phones. Replacements will be sent out same day with completed claims submitted by 3:00PM EST (Monday through Friday). The method of shipment will be selected by your organization and will allow you to better manage the cost of the deductible. The replacement devices are either new or refurbished devices that have been thoroughly tested for functionality. You will be required to return your defective device to ATG. How do I Participate?You simply need to complete the Safeguard device registration form and return it to ATG. The minimum number of devices required to participate is 10 units. When an incident occurs, complete the “claim form” and submit to ATG. Receive your replacement unit and return the defective unit to ATG. There are two main reasons to justify participating in ATG’s Safeguard program. Those reasons are service level and cost predictability. Cost predictability provides the protection against the high cost of a replacement device. When you lose or damage your device the cost of a replacement device is typically significantly more than the original cost of the device. The initial cost of the original device included a significant hardware subsidy from the carrier because you were a new subscriber. When you require a replacement device you will not be entitled to an additional hardware subsidy and will typically be charged over $600 for your replacement device Service level predictability is very important in organizations that can not justify extended downtime. Receiving a replacement device from the carrier typically will take up to 5 days. ATG will guarantee that your user will have a replacement device the following day, regardless of what caused the device to be inoperative. Question – What is the cost ?
Question – Is there a limit on the number of claims that can be submitted ? Yes, you are eligible to replace up to 30% of the covered devices each year. Question – Do my devices need to be new equipment to be enrolled in the Safeguard program ? Do they need to have been purchased from ATG? No, our Safeguard program will provide coverage on existing equipment that is in good working order. You can purchase your devices from any provider. Question – What problems are covered ?
Question – What are the payment options and contract term ? Each contract is annual with annual payment at commencement of service. Monthly or quarterly billing can be arranged in certain circumstances. Question – Does the Safeguard Program require us to file a police report for lost or stolen devices ? No. This is a major difference between our program and our competitors offering. Our program was designed to be business friendly. However, if you do not have your old device to return to ATG there will be an addi-tional $25 service charge. Question – My devices are new and are covered under the manufacturers warranty. Does it still make sense to enroll these devices in ATG’s Safeguard program ? Yes. The manufacturers warranty only provides replacements for warranty related issues. The vast majority of problems that occur during the life of the unit are caused by the user and are not covered by warranties. In addition, if the unit is covered under warranty and it is a warranty related problem the lead time to receive a re-placement unit is typically 5 days. Question – Will the replacement device be new or refurbished ? It could be either new or refurbished. The expectation should be that the devices are refurbished, but when we do not have access to refurbished equipment we will provide a new device. Refurbished
